A Boston Tea Party …(Treated As Equals)

If you weren’t convinced before, you certainly should be now, the world has gone off the deep end. In the past week or so we have had speeches made by the Pope, the President of the United States, the President of Iran, and the President of Venezuela. Pope Benedict, George Bush, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and Hugo Chavez each have given their views on the issue of our time. Reaction and acceptance of what each had to say has varied. It is in this variation where one can find proof that the world is teetering on the brink of the abyss.

The Pope spoke about any true religion needing to be about peace and not terror. His words caused outrage in the Muslim world with some Muslim leaders demanding his death. President Bush discussed the need for all people of the world to live under democracy and not dictatorship. Ahmadinejad and Chavez came to this country as members of the United Nations and spewed their propaganda. They ridiculed and demeaned our President. The three Presidents were treated as intellectual equals in the news. Chavez was invited to speak in Harlem and Brian Williams interviewed Ahmadinijad on NBC Nightly News.

When the Pope spoke we did not see other Christian faiths come to his defense. The world demands his apology while none is demanded from the Iranian leader. When the President spoke we saw continued Democratic politicking about the war. When Chavez and Ahmadinejad, both supporters of terrorism, spoke we did not hear a national outcry. One hundred years ago such slander towards a U. S. President would have had us go to war but in today’s world only some of us were disgusted. Way to many agree with Ahmadinejad and Chavez and believe our President is the enemy. What does that say about us as Americans? A man is voted to the Presidency in two elections and the losers are so disgusted they allow foreign leaders to call him the devil on our soil without outrage. Our news agencies interview the “wachos of fascism” with reverence. They ask them provocative questions and expect deep answers not realizing how embarrassing it is to even give credence to such individuals.

I really believe if Hitler were still alive our news media would want to interview him and would treat him with respect rather than with utter disdain. American citizens today applauded Hugo Chavez as he promised them free fuel. Who cares if he bashes OUR President, this countries President, they would rather have the free stuff. People lose their minds over free stuff. If you want proof just go to a Red Hawks game and watch the adults go crazy when Hawkeye is offering free small boxes of cereal. No one has any class anymore. There should have been protests all over the country against allowing Ahmadinejad and Chavez to even enter this country. Christians throughout the world should have stood beside the Pope for the truth he spoke. The United States President, the President of the country that provides the most relief and aid to the entire world, should be expected to be treated with respect regardless of political party.

The time has come for the United Nations to move. It does not belong here anymore. It has become irrelevant. The world has lost its way because of institutions like this. You know the world is upside down when America, the place everyone would prefer to live, is thought of as the problem and countries with leaders like Ahmadinejad are given justification. The past few weeks have provided a great picture of the state of the world. It isn’t very pretty. The Pope, the U.S. President, and two clowns treated as equals in America. Amazing!

You said that 100 years ago criticism of the President would mean war. That was Teddy Roosevelt. He said, "To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public"

Chavez drives you insane--to the point that you goof up and your Nazi, kid-killing true nature comes out.

And this is why Chavez is loved by billions--and Bush, well, he is only loved by his koolaid drinking, rightwing fan base. LOL

Go Chavez! You are a true lover of democracy and freedom from tyranny.
